On February, 17, 2018, at 13:20 there was a short circuit on the temporary power cable providing power supply of the tower crane and laid on the external concrete wall of one of the buildings under construction.
As a result of a short circuit, the insulation of this cable was damaged without subsequent burning.
This incident was investigated by the general contractor and the customer with the participation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the established order.
Information about the alleged "big fire" with the damage of a significant amount of expensive equipment is untrue.
No work was performed on the test launch of the equipment of the emergency protection system of the reactor. The security systems of the power unit are currently under construction.
