Opening the workshop, Deputy General Director for Quality, Alexander Erin, on behalf of the company's management, welcomed the guests and thanked them for participating in the first such workshop at Belarusian NPP.
The company's Deputy Director General, who is a delegate to the 7th All-Belarusian People's Assembly, briefed guests at Belarusian NPP on key aspects of President Alexander Lukashenko's address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly regarding the country's economic development priorities for the next five years.
The delegate noted that the Head of State's address focused on enhancing energy security and technological sovereignty, import substitution, production localization, and cooperation among Belarusian manufacturers.
The Deputy Director General briefed the workshop participants on the technical and economic indicators of Belarusian NPP, the fundamentals of nuclear power plant safety, and the role of Belarusian NPP in the country's economic and social development.
In full accordance with the decisions of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the goal of the workshop was defined: to attract domestic manufacturers to the production of products for Belarusian NPP.
The company's guests were introduced to the range of necessary products, the company's procurement organization, quality assurance, licensing, and much more.
Issues related to the manufacture of safety class 1-4 products were discussed. Particular attention was paid to maintaining production standards and fostering safety standards within organizations.
"Today, we are interested in maximizing the involvement of our organizations and creating healthy competition among Belarusian suppliers of services, products, materials, spare tools, and equipment across all areas of activity, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, as well as providing engineering, scientific, and technical support for NPPs. The design life of NPPs is 60 years, with the possibility of extension. Throughout these years, your companies, which have joined the symbolic club of suppliers to Belarusian NPP, will be provided with orders from the flagship of Belarusian energy sector. There is enough work for everyone," emphasized Alexander Erin.
Representatives of SPA “Belenergo” and “BelGIM” supported the need to engage Belarusian organizations in import substitution issues, commented on the workshop's topic, and answered questions.
Workshop participants provided positive feedback on the event and its timeliness. Suggestions were made for the systematic holding of similar workshops to discuss and resolve issues arising during product manufacturing.
