Technopark students launched the educational season at Belarusian NPP

Written by Department of Information and Public Relations

On September 14, a group of "future energy professionals" visited the site of one of the safest and most modern nuclear power plants in the world.

The career guidance meeting began with a visit to the training center — the facility where the plant's operational personnel undergo training and professional development.

School students learned about the operating principles of a nuclear reactor, safety systems, and the contribution of nuclear power plants to the country's economy and environment.

At the industrial site, the students met with industry experts and learned about the layout of the 330 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) and the turbine hall of the second power unit at Belarusian NPP.

A key event for the students was a meeting with the Deputy Director General for General Affairs. Boris  Paramonov shared his personal experience and discussed the competencies currently in demand within the nuclear energy sector.

The cooperation between the Technopark and Belarusian NPP opens up new prospects for professional development for talented young people. Perhaps some of them will one day become part of the team managing the country’s "energy heart"?
