Written by Department of information and public relations

This was learned by second-year students of the physics department of BSU, specializing in nuclear physics and technology, during a reference visitto Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.

Future nuclear physicists visited the NPP training center and learned about the operating principles of power units with the V-491 water-cooled reactor installation with a pressurized water reactor and a two-circuit thermal scheme.

The students were shown the capabilities of the NPP safety systems using a full-scale simulator of a control panel.

Yana Salkevich, a reactor physicist at Belarusian NPP, told students about the work of the nuclear physics laboratory and shared practical advice.

Violeta Alekseevets, a youth work specialist, told guests of BelNPP about the working conditions and youth policy of the enterprise.
