Today, the main direction of development of interaction with Russia is cooperation not only in nuclear energy, but also in those processes that are going on nearby, for example, the development of nuclear cities. "It is important to have the opportunity to share experience, approaches that are related to how these cities are developing, because the living conditions of people, personnel, their families in these cities are extremely important for both Belarus and the Russian Federation," emphasized Sergei Bobovich.
Since the Russian Federation has developed a large number of programs, this enables Belarus to adopt this experience and learn new things. "The roadmaps that will be signed today, will facilitate joint movement forward. We hope that our experience of social programs will be extremely useful for the Russian side," he shared.
Belarusian power engineers annually visit facilities in the Russian Federation. "We see those approaches that are related to improving conditions. That is, if you come, for example, to Ostrovets today, then many things have already been implemented, the most comfortable conditions have been created for people, - said the general director. - Not only for the workers of Belarusian NPP, but also for all residents of Ostrovets. This year, for example, the construction of a school will be completed. This is an extremely important facility. The number of children in Ostrovets is constantly growing, this is very good. Ostrovets is the fulcrum of the implementation of the "One District - One Project" initiative.
Sergei Bobovich noted that the number of schools in Ostrovets is growing because the city’s population is rapidly increasing, and this is one of the important indicators of development.
