The WANO-MC team consisted of representatives from the Russian Federation and Ukraine. The purpose of the pre-start peer review was to assess the readiness of the second power unit of Belarusian NPP for safe and reliable start-up and further operation.
- Belarusian NPP has demonstrated a high degree of openness. The station employs competent specialists who have passed the stage of start-up and commissioning of the first power unit. Preliminary results indicate that power unit No. 2 of Belarusian NPP will be ready after some time to load fresh nuclear fuel into the nuclear reactor and to continue further start-up operations.
