On behalf of the State Production Association of Electric Power Industry "Belenergo" and myself, I congratulate you on the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian energy system!
On May 15, 1931, a united Belarusian energy system was created from scattered low-power power plants and local electrical networks. Over the past decades, we have passed a serious path of development and can rightfully be proud of the fact that we have preserved and increased the energy potential of the country. We have updated and modernized our stations, heating and electrical networks. So, the firstborn of the Belarusian power engineering - the Belarusian state district power station - is still in service to this day. Large-scale reconstructions were carried out at the main generating energy sources using modern technologies, powerful hydroelectric power plants were commissioned, a wind farm was built, and a modern infrastructure was created.
More recently, we have stepped into the era of the latest achievements in engineering - the era of safe nuclear technology. The first power unit of the Belarusian NPP is already supplying electricity to the grid. Much has been done so that this grandiose project for the country was successfully implemented. The implementation of measures for the power delivery of the nuclear power plant was completed. Thousands of kilometers of power transmission lines have been built, new substations have appeared. Work continues on the regime integration of the BelNPP.
The efficient operation of the power system is the result of the work of our entire team, behind which are human destinies, intense everyday life and the hard work of thousands of people. Many years of experience and good traditions of a responsible and conscientious attitude towards the fulfillment of assigned tasks, high qualifications of employees in combination with the advanced technologies used allow us to jointly carry out our main mission - to provide a stable and reliable energy supply to the country.
The history of the power system is the history of several generations of dedicated people, true professionals. Therefore, the most sincere gratitude is addressed to the older generation of power engineers, whose work is a model of attitude to their work, a model that inspires the young generation for new achievements.
Congratulating on the anniversary, I sincerely wish the entire team of the energy system health, prosperity, success in continuing the glorious history, fruitful work and all the best.
