The plan was formed in accordance with the methodology recommended by the IAEA, taking into account the proposals of Belarusian organizations involved in the implementation of the nuclear power program.
The IAEA mission took place in Belarus from February 24 to March 4, 2020. As a result, the agency's group of experts presented a report containing recommendations and proposals for the further development of the national nuclear energy infrastructure. They are aimed at strengthening the legal framework in the field of nuclear energy, improving the integrated management system of the operating organization and the regulatory body, developing a concept for ensuring maintenance of Belarusian NPP, etc.
The implementation of the recommendations received began in Belarus prior to the receipt of the official IAEA report on the results of the mission. Some of them have already been completed.
