The welding of MCP was carried out for 70 days, during which specialists welded all the joints and carried out work on anti-corrosion treatment.
As Sergey Olontsev, senior vice-president for management of Russian projects at AO IK ASE, said, the implementation of this complicated operation in a short time was made possible by competent arrangement of works in accordance with the project of the Rosatom production system and step-by-step control of all operations performed. Welding of MCP is given special attention, since the date of completion of this process makes the entire schedule of hydrotesting of the reactor unit of the power unit.
