Belarusian NPP is ready for the autumn-winter period

Written by Department of Information and Public Relations

Preparation for the autumn-winter period is a continuous process that begins as soon as the previous season concludes. Specialists from the auxiliary systems department, in cooperation with the plant’s technical and operational units, analyzed the performance of heat-generating and heat-consuming equipment; they also developed and implemented plans for organizational and technical measures to prepare the facilities of Belarusian NPP for the upcoming autumn-winter period.

A comprehensive set of tasks has been successfully completed to ensure the reliable operation of equipment during periods of low temperatures and to prevent the occurrence of emergency situations:

  • maintenance and routine repairs of equipment, and calibration of measuring instruments at heat sources and heat energy consumers;
  • technical inspection of heat-generating equipment at heat sources;
  • flushing and testing of heating systems for heat energy consumers;
  • restoration of the thermal insulation layer and identification color-coding of pipelines for heat supply and heat consumption systems of end users.

Certificates of readiness have been registered for the boiler plants serving the military compound of military unit 7434 and the NPP’s industrial base, as well as a certificate of readiness for a thermal energy consumer. For 2026, the scope of the thermal energy consumer’s certificate of readiness overs 97 facilities: 55 located on the NPP site and 42 in Ostrovets.

Heat supply to the facilities of Belarusian NPP is being provided in full, in accordance with the decision of  Ostrovets District Executive Committee to commence the 2026/2027 heating season. Stable and reliable heat supply has been ensured across all of the enterprise’s facilities.
