On February 9, 2022, the information center of Belarusian NPP was visited by deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus: Lyudmila Makarina-Kibak, Chairman of the Health, Physical Culture, Family and Youth Policy Standing Commission, Oksana Gaiduk, Deputy Chairman of the Housing Policy and Construction Standing Commission and Alexander Markevich, Deputy Chairman of the National Security Standing Commission. The deputies were accompanied by Deputy Chairman of Ostrovets Region Executive Committee Gennady Bychko.
Representatives of the deputy corps got acquainted with the exposition of the information center. During the tour, the MPs were told about the operation of the nuclear power plant, its safety and environmental friendliness, personnel training, the strategy for handling spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste, and much more.
During the visit, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of the country's social and political life, as well as informing the public about the implementation of Belarusian nuclear energy program.
