Written by Department of information and public relations

On the first Sunday of November, Anastasia Novikova, Deputy Head of the Planning and Economic Department of Belarusian NPP state enterprise, took part in the transcontinental marathon race in Istanbul.

The Istanbul Marathon is the only transcontinental race from Asia to Europe that crosses the bridge across the Bosphorus. Runners start in the Asian part of the city and, crossing the Bosphorus bridge, finish already in Europe.

This year, more than 60,000 runners from all over the world took part in the race, including 50 professional athletes.

Anastasia Novikova is a regular participant and winner of the largest industry and regional competitions. However, she did not have to take part in the classic marathon. Preparation for the competition took several months, when Anastasia Novikova ran up to 220 kilometers per month. The result is the successful overcoming of the marathon distance of 42 kilometers 195 meters in 4 hours 25 minutes 51 seconds.

Congratulations to Anastasia Novikova on her successful performance and we wish her new sports and industrial victories!
