On June 22, a mournful date is celebrated in Belarus - the Day of National Remembrance of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people, the 81st anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War. On this day, all over the country we remember those who, at the cost of their lives, fulfilled their duty to defend the Motherland, all the dead, tortured in fascist captivity, who died of starvation and deprivation.

Representatives of the team of Belarusian NPP took part in a meeting-requiem, which was held in Ostrovets. Workers of the nuclear power plant laid flowers at the monument to Soviet soldiers and partisans, and also took part in a rally to the monument to the pilots and technicians of Postavy military aviation school of pilots who died at the training airfield on the first day of the war on June 22, 1941.  At the obelisk, a solemn opening of the visual form of perpetuation took place as part of the regional patriotic project “Memory. Unity. Victory".

At Belarusian NPP, exactly at 12.00, the staff of the state enterprise "Belarusian NPP" honored the memory of the victims of the war and genocide, joining the ALL-BELARUSIAN MINUTE OF SILENCE.
