At Zaporozhye NPP, Belarusian engineers saw not only how the personnel of the plant reprocess RW, but also generally got acquainted with the work of the enterprise. The specialists of the Zaporozhye NPP decontamination workshop actively shared their knowledge and best practices with their colleagues.
The head of the RW reprocessing and burial of the decontamination workshop of Zaporozhye NPP Yevgeny Surkov noted that the specialists of Belarusian NPP already now, at the initial stage, are studying the world experience of the operating organization in terms of radioactive waste management, including at Zaporozhye NPP.
“We received comprehensive information, starting with the formation of radioactive waste and ending with their placement in containers. Workers of the workshop thoroughly shared their experience with us regarding their functional responsibilities. The experience of Ukrainian specialists will be in demand in our future work. We are very pleased with the interaction with our colleagues,” Yevgeny Miadelets, engineer of the workshop for the management of RW of Belarusian NPP, shared his impressions.
