The purpose of this mission is to confirm the readiness of Belarusian NPP state enterprise as the operating organization for putting the plant into operation and further reliable and safe operation of power units.

The IAEA team of experts will consider 10 areas: “Leadership and management at the enterprise”, “NPP operation, its maintenance”, “Technical support of NPP operation”, “Personnel training and qualification”, “Radiation protection, chemistry, exchange of operating experience”, “Accident management, emergency planning and response” and others.

The mission will run until August 22, 2019.

The IAEA mission Pre-OSART (Operational Safety Review Team) is carried out in accordance with the IAEA regulations for NPPs under construction and commissioned before loading nuclear fuel.
